Conservation

 

Conservation refers to potential impacts or effects on resources of the natural or physical environment and includes these topics:

  • Soils,
  • Water resources, such as surface water and groundwater
  • Floodplains,
  • Biological resources consisting of vegetation and wildlife, including migratory birds and protected species,
  • Wetlands, and
  • Air quality.

This category does not include discussions of potential impacts on components of the man-made or built environment, which is discussed under Compliance.
